Why lucid dream?

Easiest Ways to Start Having Lucid Dreams and why Lucid Dream

A lucid dream is one that you become aware of while still having the dream. You might ask yourself, "Why would I want to know that I am dreaming?" Well I can tell you from my own personal experience that I have seen many benefits in response to training myself to be aware in the dream state, the most important being my conscious awareness of my wake state. Not to mention, it is also really easy to do! To Illustrate, the first step to becoming lucid in a dream(and this begins working pretty quickly, within 1-3 days) is to begin asking yourself though out your day, "Am I dreaming right now?" If you choose to question your reality while you are awake, then you will do so when you are asleep as well, for our dreams reflect our thoughts, actions, experiences, and emotions that we had earlier in the day.

So once you regularly start having these intense and vivid dreams, the next step is to learn to affect your dream environment, which is where things can get really fun, and furthermore, where some of the most pivotal messages from your subconscious can be more easily interpreted. In the realization that you have the power to change things in you dreams, you will begin to realize the potential to change things in your life, and hence, the level of your conscious awareness will go up. This is the age of manifestation, and we all desire instant gratification, so the quickness of learning to be lucid is something that should not be overlooked.

There are many simple methods to help increase the quality and frequency of lucid dreams. As I mentioned before, asking yourself if you are dreaming while you are awake is the most effective. For example, you can write that question on the top of your bathroom mirror and then, subsequently, when you are in the bathroom in a dream, it will more than likely not be there. Another great method is the flipping of light switches. I know it sounds weird, but you can't turn lights on or off in dreams. If it is dark in your dream and the light switch isn't working, don't think it is because the power is out or something electrical, just realize that you are dreaming and do something out of the ordinary. Also objects around your house can be a dead give away. Something may be arranged differently or move back after you just moved it. For instance, I moved my couch away from the wall so that I could sweep behind it, but simultaneously got distracted by my friend in the living room. When I looked back at the couch, it was back against the wall again. Consequently, I immediately ran outside and starting flying around.

Some people say that they can't remember their dreams, or that they don't have them at all, but this is mostly due to the disregarding of their existence. Many people think that they are meaningless so they choose not to acknowledge them, but the lack of acknowledgement of anything we experience in life will be swiftly scheduled for deletion from our memory banks. So what makes dreams any different? Believe and know that you have them and, if you want to, you will remember them. The best way to increase your memory of them is keeping a dream journal on your night stand. Right when you wake up, begin writing. The more time that goes by, the more you will forget.
So I say, dream on my friends, have a little fun, and remember to regularly ask yourself if you are dreaming, because sometimes, you will be.
